Being defiant

Posted on February 12th, 2007 in Uncategorized by calishk

why are the fucking chinese behaving so defiantly?

majority of them lack fundamental social etiquette

their true colours are well-hidden behind a strong mask, a mask that is extremely tough to rip open.  the mask they don is also known as “face”.

cunning - evil motive for every task, to gain at someone else’s expense

this type of people represents our future aggressive corporate climbers - how did society and insitutions mould such humiliating attributes in them?

next generation will be a complete disgrace

i’m afraid this derogatory characteristic might well be accepted by public if practised widely by them, of course, since they are fucking barrels of them

inevitable challenge for our 21st century - only the toughest and smartest will outlive

are you game for it?

i’m not

6 hours of shopping is insufficient

Caro and I walked the whole stretch of Orchard up and down i.e. TWICE. hahaha at least we bought something…. otherwise the day would have been wasted. For me I bought a bag and a jacket. Total pocket damage is less than S$100. :)

Dinner was at ParkRoyal Hotel buffet (read: gorging activity) The desert was the most enticing part of the meal. Hehehehehe

Country Manager Presentation

Posted on December 5th, 2006 in Inane Trivia by calishk

I am overwhelmed.

Our group did superb in the presentation this afternoon. Peter Walters complimented our unique presentation technique and our overall game performance was well done!

Though we entered only 2 markets (Mexico & Chile) while one other group entered all six market but we generated more profits and larger market share.

However the preliminary plan was horribly done (C+) and to our BIG surprise this report accounts for a big percent of final project grade. WTH!!! We always thought final outcome is more important than pre-plan… First the decision periods take most of project time. Second we had to learn to make decisions (react) based on previous decision periods. Nobody expected the crappy pre-plan to take a freaking huge percentage. DUH!

Anyway the professor said since we were the best presenting group with one of the best overall outcomes, our final grade should be round about B+.

Project run(a)way

Definitely the most diligent Sunday in HK.

Afternoon was spent doing our last IMC presentation on Internet/Viral marketing. Very last-minute work can! The presentation is the very next afternoon and we simply dragged until today. The outcome wasn’t comparable to the previous one. Anyway, done.

In the evening, met up with Philippe, Shirley and William to make a ppt for Country Manager. The meeting, as always, did not last long. Generally, most of our meetings last around 10-15 minutes except for few times we met like an hour plus for the decision periods. I am responsible for the introductory segment so basically my part will derive from the pre-plan we handed in.

I must say, not bad for a change in routine.

I missed the farewell party

Posted on December 2nd, 2006 in Uncategorized by calishk

I just woke up.

I looked at the time. It is 19:30. I missed the farewell party by 5 freaking hours!!!

It’s not the last farewell party for me since I’ll be here for another semester. But it is my last chance to see people-who-are-not-my-clique-but-i-see-them-hanging-around-the-campus-or-hall. I thought I could take pictures with them and exchange gifts but I guess it is too late now. Not that I don’t see them now. Cos everyone would be at the farewell party so it is much easier to ask for photos. Would be absurd if I approach somebody who is on the way to school during a normal day and say ‘hey, may I have a photo taken with you?’.. hahahaha!

This morning was my International Marketing final exam. Totally bullshit 100%. Simply crap. I hate it. Afraid to double-check the notes for answer since I know I will be upset over the what I will see.

No farewell party = No photos

Movie mania

Posted on December 1st, 2006 in Uncategorized by calishk

Finished watching two movies.

I Not Stupid 2 and the Intimate. Both movies are 360 degrees totally opposite genres. I Not Stupid 2 is a family-based heartfelt touching movie about the brutal reality of the education system and the youth and parents of today Singapore. The intimate is a sexually-explicit movie about this guy who was suppose to leave Korea the next day and he met this beautiful girl and had a super life-changing 24hrs of XXX. Just an average looking guy, not very handsome, and the girl is HOT, sexy and beautiful! Don’t know where they find so many beauties in Korea. I wanna go there an experience myself wandering along the street full of beauties. But I heard not many leh. Don’t wanna believe until I see personally. Keep my dreams alive, Korea!

Halloween Bash

Posted on October 13th, 2006 in Outings, Pix Pix Pix by calishk

Friday the 13th. Best outing to Halloween.

What a pity I couldn’t go in the day to see pandas!!! Oooooh….

Anyway Ocean Park promised their customers that this Halloween Bash is gonna be really scary and they proved to be true because I was screaming every 5 seconds literally. After the Vampire House and Cemetry attractions I didn’t dare visit others. That was it. Hahaha! Laugh all you want!

.

.

.

All because I had International Marketing exams in the afternoon! No point crying over spilt milk, just wait for the results and plan the next step. Anyho the exam was unexpectedly difficult cos he gave very silly questions from those small-font pages which to all students, seems unimportant. Before the exams he told us the questions were not challenging so he expects us to pass well. Of course to him is not because he has been doing the same thing over and over again for perhaps 30 years or so. DUH! The professor is stupid. I am stupid.

The ultimate way to dry clothes

Posted on October 13th, 2006 in Pix Pix Pix by calishk

Muahahahaha!!!

Tips from the professional (that is me, of course)

The clothes line was made by typing several plastic bags together. My underwear (orange + white) is hanged on two metal bars taken from my backpack and laid across two opened drawers.

Fortunately I had the whole room to myself. Might have freak my roommate though. Hahaha!!
